Judge Al Kramer, brings to this political/legal thriller a wealth of knowledge from a distinguished career as a criminal defense lawyer, Judge, State Representative, and Chief of Staff to the Governor of Massachusetts assigned to deal with protests and tumultuous anti-war demonstrations. His pioneering judicial reforms have been featured in multiple segments of Sixty Minutes, ABC's Nightline, and the CBS Evening News.

  • Presidential Citation for Excellence, presented by President Ronald Reagan at a White House ceremony for the creation of the first community service program in America. Thousands of programs in the United States, Germany and England have been established and directly modeled after its program called “Earn it”
     

  • Recipient of the William H. Burnett Memorial Award, presented by the Alcohol and Drug Problem A ssociation of North America for “the most outstanding contribution by a judge in combating alcoholism” (presented in Washington, DC).

  • Recipient of the L. Harold DeWolf Award, presented by Offender Aid and Restoration of the United States “to the person who has made the most significant contribution to the cause of justice in America and in recognition of his vision and distinguished service” (presented in Charlottesville, VA).

  • Selected by Boston Magazine as the most outstanding district court jurist in Massachusetts.

  • Selected by Boston University as a member of the Collegium and Academy of Distinguished Alumni for “outstanding contributions to the judicial profession”

 

  • Recipient of the South Shore Coalition for Human Rights Award for “his commitment to equal rights and equal justice”
